Prestige Power has been a Sea School since 1989. It was established to provide training courses using the highly respected RYA / MCA Motor Cruising scheme. Prestige Power focuses its efforts on Practical Training and is only involved with power driven craft. Student numbers are usually limited to three per course to ensure maximum value and individual attention.

The Principal and chief instructor, Paul Hay, has been involved in marine training since leaving the Royal Navy in 1986. In addition to instructing at one of the South Coast's largest sailing schools, he has been the Principal of his own Motor Cruising School for the past 16 years.

Paul has taught on a wide variety of powered craft, been involved in setting up MCA Class 4 / Class 5 Navigation courses at a large maritime college and has been a Yachtmaster Examiner since 1995.

Prestige Power owns and uses a strong and very seaworthy vessel which was built to a very high specification and which is fitted with modern navigation equipment and safety gear. For more details about the boat, please see Boat link.
